In this post we’ll show you a way of Introducing Yourself in Spanish so that you can finally make your wish come true and travel the wrold having a great time.
We’ve made a video with these phrases so that you can practice by listening to yourself repeating them.
1.Introducing Yourself
We will start with the phrase: «Hola, me llamo____» which means «Hi, my name is _____» and then we add our name.
Now to say: «I am ____»we use the word:»Soy____» and then our name.
2. Asking For Someone’s Name
If we want to ask for someone’s name we can say: «¿Cómo te llamas?» which is the equivalent to :»What’s your name?» but if we want to be more formal, for example if we’re asking our boss or someone older than us we would say: «¿Cómo se llama?«.
3. Being Polite
To say: «Nice to meet you» we would say: «Mucho gusto«. And to reply: «Nice to meet you, too» you simply say: «Igualmente«.
4. Introducing Someone
In case we have company and want to introduce him or her to say: «This is____» we would say: «Él es____» if it’s a male or «Ella es_____» if it’s a female.
